Who we are
TukkerWorks is an independent product studio based in Enschede, the Netherlands, operated by Marcel Maatkamp. It is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK 42104904, VAT identification number NL004417840B07.
TukkerWorks is the data controller for the processing described here. For any question about this statement or about your personal data, write to marcel.maatkamp@tukkerworks.com.
What this statement covers
It covers this website and the products TukkerWorks publishes, currently Ergomi and NutriAlarm. Where a product handles data differently, that product is named explicitly below.
This website
The site is static. There is no account, no login, no advertising and no tracking or analytics cookie. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.
One thing does involve a third party, and we would rather name it than leave it implied: the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes the technical request data any web server receives — including your IP address — to deliver the page and to protect the site against abuse. Cloudflare acts as our processor.
Everything else the page needs is served from this domain. Typefaces in particular are hosted here rather than loaded from Google Fonts, so viewing this site sends no request to Google and discloses your IP address to no one but our host.
If you email us, we keep that correspondence for as long as it is useful to answer you and to meet our administrative obligations, and no longer.
Our products
Ergomi is an Android app that coaches rowing on a Concept2 machine. It communicates directly with the rowing machine over Bluetooth. Workout data stays on your device.
NutriAlarm is an Android app that times nutrition intervals during endurance efforts. It has no account and no server of ours; what you set stays in the app's storage on your device.
Each app ships its own privacy statement in its store listing, describing that app in detail. Where those statements and this one differ in detail, the app's own statement is the more specific one and prevails for that app.
Connecting a Garmin account
A future version of NutriAlarm will let you connect your Garmin Connect account so that the app can time intervals against your own activity and deliver alerts you can feel while training. That connection is optional: the app works without it, and nothing is requested from Garmin unless you explicitly authorise it.
When you do authorise it:
- we request the narrowest set of permissions the feature needs, and no more;
- we use that data only to provide the feature to you — never to advertise, profile, enrich, resell or train models;
- we do not share it with third parties;
- you can disconnect at any time, in the app or from your Garmin account, and we then delete the data we hold from that connection.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask us for access to your personal data, or ask us to correct, delete, restrict or transfer it, and you may object to processing. Write to marcel.maatkamp@tukkerworks.com and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
When this statement changes we update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle data in a product are announced in that product before they take effect.
